Local Restaurant Week: Sun Cuisines

I love trying new places and Local Restaurant Week is the best time to do so. Thai food is one of my favorite dishes and when a friend suggested Sun Cuisines I could not wait to try it. I made sure to make a reservation knowing restaurant week is always busy time anywhere you go.
We arrived on time and the restaurant was packed. We were seated immediately in a booth. The restaurant was very nicely decorated with dark wood and large pictures of orange sunsets. It was a soothing atmosphere. After waiting for about 15 minutes, a waiter finally came to our table. We asked for water and ordered drinks and dinner. The drinks came soon after, but not water. Another 15-20 minutes later, my entree arrived with the appetizer. I completely understand they were very busy, and, unfortunately, this was the trend for every table. People were being sat and neglected. The food, however, was very good, except for one minor detail. In my entree and my friends', we found ingredients that were not listed in the menu. My Prew Wan came with mushrooms, which I would have noticed on the menu and asked to be taken out since I am not a fan of. In my friend's Mango Chicken were jalapeno pieces. Also not on the menu.
While the service was not the best, the food was very tasty. I am definitely willing to try this place again. I don't think my experience is the normal service level. maybe they were short staffed or over booked. My advice, go on an off night like a Monday or Tuesday.

#NationalGrilledCheeseDay

Yesterday was National Grilled Cheese Day. First of all, I want to know who comes up with this stuff, and second, can we have a National Salad Day so I can get back on track. I was originally going to have the boring turkey pita I brought to work, but the more I kept seeing that hashtag, the more I craved some cheesy goodness.
There is an incredible little bakery minutes from my office that I frequent with a co-worker. They have awesome sandwiches and wraps that come with a freshly prepared side for 8 bucks. It was a no-brainer.
Once I had that sandwich in my possession I could not wait to get back to the office and chow down. After taking a zillion photos, of course. The Pine Ledge had gooey cheese oozing out of the Tuscan Italian bread. It was literally picture perfect, The thick cut tomatoes and crispy bacon were perfect compliments. I don't think I can eat a grilled cheese with those two ingredients anymore.
